Through non formal methodologies and activities,
the participants will train the youth among their community to promote Human Rights.

Nairobi - IN SOCIETY
This project aims to raise awareness among the youth aged from 7 to 16 years old. The activities developped are inspired from the Compass, a manual for Human Rights Education with young people.
The children were asked to draw two different self-portraits: one highlighting the ideal and inspiring character traits that they would like to have, and the other describing the character traits the would not like to have.
Through self-reflection, they could identify their qualities and understand that they can all develop the qualities they would like to have in order to bring positive change in their community.

Rome - IN YOUR SHOES
The aim of this online campaign is to prevent racial discrimination against second-generation’s youth in Italy.

Nowadays, in the context we have experienced, both in the wider context of the city and also in the periferical area, is still present a strong racial discrimination against young italian people who’s background is yet linked to a second culture.
Through diverse interviews, In your Shoes campaign aims to highlight diversity and cross cultural origins as an added value.

Sassari - Sprint your Talent
The local initiative is entitled “Sprint your Talent, imagining young people as athletes in the starting blocks and thinking of ways to bring out and train their potential.
The aim is to raise awareness among young people, aged between 16 and 30, about the constant development of soft skills in every area of their lives, and to try to point out a number of opportunities to improve and acquire new ones. In fact, a series of interviews and dialogues with young people in the Sassari area revealed a strong sense of mistrust regarding the future and their own potential.
For this reason, the initiative consists of an online communication campaign, on the Instagram and Facebook profiles of the "Yes We KENya", "AICEM" and "Sportello Sociale ACLI Sassari" accounts.
An online survey is also planned to highlight interests and to self-assess the competences young people think they possess. The online part will be followed by an offline event in the second week of November, at the AICEM headquarters in Sassari, during which a non-formal education activity will be carried out in order to introduce participants to the opportunities to acquire and improve their skills in relation to their interests, also with a view to future employment.
